The Idea
hey guys!!
Back again for another week. I've come further with my film entry for Pop Fiction and thought of an idea!! :) As i said last time i really want to work with Penny. The book 'To Love Veronica Bee' is told from Veronicas point of view, so i've decided to create a monologue for Penny and let her express her thoughts and feelings on the situation. I think it would be important to see how she interprets the whole thing.
I've come up with clay model character designs, which i think really suit her character. As you know she has blue hair, wears black clothes and is very much 'me against the world'. I want to make the model out of clay and perhaps make her clothes using material. I've written the script and let me tell u its very much Penny.
Im really excited because next week Al (an animator) is coming down to give us any handy hints and tips to make our animation more interesting or more "unamateurish." So hopefully we'll all learn a bit from him.
This week im going to come up with a set design, create the actual model and create a story board.
Should be fun!!

Hi! My name is Emily, Em 4 short. I have an idea for the deco in Penny's room. I think it is kool that you are doing something with Penny, cause I like the character Penny very much. I think her bed would have black sheets, blue or blood red. Her walls would covered in posters of her gothic friends, gothic bands, some of her drawings, some gothic animals (I advise looking at this gallery of this person she draws really kool animals:

Try looking along the gallery for animals, their really good), Her walls might be painted blood red, cause she might not be able to get black walls. I think her bed side table would have candle's instead of lights, although she might have a hanging light that she cant take out, so it might be a red light(you can get them, I know my bro has one). I reckon her window would be boarded up with cardboard or wood with a little hole so she can sneak out at night, with no light shining through. Her bed side table might have incense as well, and a black and red diary. With a picture of Nic as well. As well as a witchcraft diary and a dream diary. Her floors might have an old rug on them, or maybe just floorboards. With scattered pictures she had drawn, maybe their would be smudges of charcoal on the floor. She might have a computer in the corner, with a pad for drawing online, and maybe a scanner to scan her pictures, and a printer. Her computer would probably be hooked up to the internet with a few wires going into the next room. Her floor also might be scattered with cigarettes, and burn marks on the floor.

Hi we're Morgana, Natasha, Nicole. We have some ideas on how to decorate Penny's room.
Since she is a gothic, we figure that her room would have a black theme. We think she would like to have black walls, but her parents won't let her so she covers her walls with posters. We think the posters would be of heavy metal bands, crosses, other gothics, a picture of her boy friend, Nick, animals like wolves and her friends. Dark coloured curtains (black, dark purple, a dark blue and dark red. Personally w like red the best) would definately be there. We also think there would be a shade over the light, the same colour as the curtains.
On her bedside table there would be a lamp, her diary, a packet of cigarettes, an ash tray and a lighter, a picture of Nick, a black clock radio. On her bookshelf, there is books (a couple of witchcraft books, a dream diary) and if she has a desk she would have art materials like paint, charcoal, pencils and maybe even a canvas. She would also probably have stickers and grafitti on the desk. On the floor there would be clothes and books and cigarette butts, boxes, burns from the cigarettes, her bag and a black bean bag with moons and stars on it. The bean bag cover would match her doona cover on her DOUBLE bed. Her window would be open so she can sneak out if she wants to. In her wardrobe she would have all black clothes and outside her wardrobe would be pictures and stickers.
